Saving Owners Money and Tenants Heartache

When it comes to Rental Property Management in Auckland, we are not typical at Propertyscouts. Today April 4 2018 we received an email from a tenant with a problematic Gas Water Heating appliance. To save the Owner money we called the Tenant and got more detail.

Rather than sending out a Gas Fitter/Plumber/ service Technician, we contacted the service centre (because we record all the details of the owners appliances) and explained the problem.

They told us to follow a basic process to eliminate a wasteful visit from a technician.

We got the tenant to follow the “re-booting” of the appliance and hey-presto = Problem Solved.

What did we achieve? Saved the Tenant an $80 callout fee as the problem was not the Owners fault.

Highlighted to the Owner that  we work for them rather than just sending out a technician without doing the basic checks.We also made sure that if there was a fault, we had identified the correct skill set to send to the job.
